Request account deletion
Use this page to delete your STOQ account and associated personal data. This action cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
The fastest way is in the app: open Settings → Security → Delete Account, enter your password and confirm. The account is deleted immediately.
If you no longer have access to the app, use the form below:
Enter the email address associated with your STOQ account.
Tick the box confirming you understand the deletion is permanent.
Submit the form. We’ll email that address to confirm we’ve received your request.
We’ll email you again once the deletion has been completed.
What is deleted and what is kept
When your STOQ account is deleted, your personal data — name, email address, phone number, address, login credentials, profile and account settings — is deleted or anonymised without delay. Your own Folders, items, photos, files and attachments are deleted together with the account.
Content you shared in Folders of other users, and the record of your actions there, remain available to those users under the name “Deleted User”.
Some data is kept for longer where the law requires it:
Payment and accounting records — 5 to 7 years, as required by applicable tax legislation.
Security and technical logs — up to 12 months, or longer if needed to investigate a security incident.
Data needed to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud — until the relevant proceedings are complete.
Backups — overwritten automatically on a cyclical schedule, and used only to restore data after a technical failure.
To request a copy of your data before deletion, or deletion of specific data without closing the account, write to privacy@stoq.global.
If you have a paid subscription
You do not need to cancel your subscription before requesting deletion. Cancelling stops future charges; refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
